Was floresiensis related to Denisovan?

Some heavy facts to consider - in fact the heaviest of known facts right now

17% of the Denisovan DNA was from the local Neandertals*.

* the spelling of Neanderthal as Neandertal is more appropriate considering that tal comes from old Nordic dal (still unchanged in Swedish) meaning valley. The only reason Klevius has used Neanderthal is that it has had more search power on the web.

Four percent of the Denisovan genome comes from "something unknown", more ancient.

The Denisova genome is slightly closer to the Neandertals than to living people.

The similarity of Denisova and Neandertal genomes suggests that they emerged from a single population.

The most pronounced cultural explosion ever seen on the planet happened in Siberia and Europe.



John Hawks: This possibly was the early Middle Pleistocene population of Eurasia. Green and colleagues [2] derived Neandertals from a common ancestor with living Africans only 250,000-400,000 years ago. A model including the Denisova data, reported by Reich and colleagues [1] puts the emergence of a Neandertal-Denisova clade at between 190,000 and 520,000 years ago, and the divergence of the Neandertal and Denisova branches around 50,000-100,000 years later. This is later than the time of the last unequivocal H. erectus fossils, and more than a half million years after the Trinil individual -- type specimen of Homo erectus -- lived. Based on this chronology, the Denisova genome does not represent Homo erectus or any hominin population derived from the initial diversification of Homo.


Klevius: Perhaps erectus was erased by floresiensis before the latter started shrinking. However, we don't have DNA from erectus. But what we do have are these hard facts that seem to be missed (or neglected) by most researchers:

1 Homo floresiensis (100,000-12,000BP) at the same place as we now have the most of the Denisovan genes.

2 the fact that Homo floresiensis was the by far smartest creature when it comes to the relation brain size/cultural performance.

3 a cultural explosion exceeding everything else on the planet from the Denisova cave in mid Siberia to Europe some 40,000 years ago.

4 a resolute mix of Neandertal and Denisovan genes (Neandertal males raping Denisovan females)



How Klevius makes sense of these hard facts:


The extremely small brained Homo floresiensis may have been the result of jungle/island isolation, i.e. that a previously bigger brain because of adaptive pressure became more well packed so to keep up its intelligence despite the fact that their skulls shrunk.

When this better packed brain got in contact with more big headed neighbors they of course became even more intelligent and capable of spreading over the Asian mainland until they encountered Neanderthals in Siberia who possessed the biggest skulls of them all.

If they were already related to Neanderthals from long ago it is not surprising that they also managed to get fertile hybrids at this later stage.

Voila! What we got was a super intelligent mix which then started spreading back hence resulting in mongoloids and caucasoids.

The mean cranial capacity value of mongoloids remains very significantly below that of the caucasoids. However, mongoloids usually score better in IQ tests than caucasoids. According to Klevius theory this is due to the fact that when the new human hybrid spread out from mid Siberia it only met with archaic brains to the south and west, but not to the south east from where the new brain had arrived in the first place - although packed in a quite small vessel still.


One may also speculate whether the big headed Neanderthal environment to the west and soutwest combined with the relatively big headed (archaic) southern Europeans/northern Africans contributed to more size variation among caucasoids. In other words, caucasoids may possess more geniuses than mongoloids while the average caucasoid iq is lower.

Cold adapted Denisova/Red Deer Cave type laid the basis for mongoloid features and after meeting northern Neanderthals and due creation of modern humans the back migration/hybridization left (mainly) Caucasoids (what Klevius call the grey "bastard belt" on the map below) to the West and Mongoloids to the East.
